About

The “Uintah Wildman” is Chad Hamblin. He is a fifth generation Utahn who explores public land in the Uintah Basin in Northeastern Utah and strives to protect these lands. Chad is the founder of the Uintah Wildman website and is its main contributor.

Chad is a high school science teacher. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education-biology teaching at Utah State University – along with minors in anthropology, chemistry, and Spanish. He became a certified Utah Master Naturalist in 2021 when he completed a watershed investigations course.

Chad is supported in this endeavor by his wife, Kristina Hicks-Hamblin, who has contributed some older content, and who acts as the website designer and webmaster.
