Lord Byron says…

“There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more.” – Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage

Thoreau says…

“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
― Walden: Or, Life in the Woods

iNaturalist

On iNaturalist, while he makes observations of plants and other animals as well, Chad specializes in spiders, which he notices everywhere he goes - in the garden, inside the house, and while hiking!
